What's happening?

The new silver birch trees have now been planted to replace some which had to be removed due to ill health

There is also the new fencing to provide a bit more security fo people living at the remote side of the green

And we have also planted 50 new young trees in the 'woodland' areas

The maintenance schedule

All hedges which border onto footpaths will be trimmed in June and trimmed and 'topped out' in October each year.

All other hedges will be trimmed and topped out in October each year.

All grass areas will be cut 16 times per year as follows:
End of February
End of March
Mid & End of April, May, June, July, August and September.
Mid October
Mid November

The large grass area known as 'the Green' will be treated with a selective herbicide once per year at a time when the 'weeds' are actively growing.

Other areas not mentioned above will be maintained on a 'need to' basis.
