The Briars - Landscaping

The daffodils and crocci have now bloomed and give the frontage a welcome bit of springtime colour

They will multiply year on year and should look even better in seasons to come.

And finally - our new oak tree is still thriving thanks to some ongoing TLC being given to it by Director Brian Jones, our landscaping officer

The maintenance schedule

All hedges which border onto footpaths will be trimmed in June and trimmed and 'topped out' in October each year.

All other hedges will be trimmed and topped out in October each year.

All grass areas will be cut 16 times per year as follows:
End of February
End of March
Mid & End of April, May, June, July, August and September.
Mid October
Mid November

The large grass area known as 'the Green' will be treated with a selective herbicide once per year at a time when the 'weeds' are actively growing.

Other areas not mentioned above will be maintained on a 'need to' basis.
